About the Author

Ron Baker

Ron Baker is a husband, father, and grandfather of twelve, a business leader, and a lifelong student of the deeper questions of life.

The Journey

Ron’s journey began on the California coast, where the rhythm of the ocean and the discipline of surfing shaped his early perspective on life’s ebb and flow.

A transition to the Midwest introduced him to a different kind of beauty—the quiet strength of deep forests and the endurance required for long hiking trails.

Today, settled on the East Coast, he continues to explore the intersections of nature, leadership, and the human spirit.

Professional Legacy

Corporate Leadership

With over 20 years in upper-level corporate leadership, Ron has managed complex teams and built successful businesses. But beneath the professional success was a growing realization that the most important journey was the one he hadn’t yet fully taken.

Today, he channels that experience into mentoring, helping others navigate the transition from “doing” to “being.”

Family & Home

At the center of Ron’s world is his wife, Mary, and their large, vibrant family. As a grandfather of twelve, his home is a place of constant life and legacy.

Their two Golden Retrievers are constant companions, reminding him daily of the simple joys and the importance of being present.

Physical Discipline

Ironman mornings

Ron has always believed that the physical and the spiritual are closer than we think. For years, his training ground was the marathon circuit — and then came the Ironman. Swimming, cycling, running, all in one relentless day.

He doesn’t tell these stories to impress. He tells them because endurance training taught him the same lessons his inner work would later confirm: discomfort is a teacher, the finish line is not the point, and showing up consistently beats waiting to feel ready.
